The Salewa Alp Trainer 2 GTX is a low-cut alpine lightweight hiker built for increased comfort for long days on rugged mountain terrain. Its solid construction is ideal for everyday use while providing enough support for all-day hiking on technical terrain. The GORE-TEX Extended Comfort liner is the most breathable waterproof barrier in the GORE-TEX line shielding you from shallow creek crossings and sudden rainstorms. The upper is constructed of durable but supple 1.4mm-1.6mm suede leather with 360-degree reinforced rubber rand for additional rock and scree protection. Additional support and ankle stability are made possible using Salewa's 3F system featuring steel cables that wrap the foot giving the flexibility needed for all-day use while maintaining firm ankle and heel support. The climbing laces make for easy adjustments while lacing up the shoe and further support the wrapping fit started by the 3F system. Inside the shoe, the EVA foam midsole provides superior cushioning and comfort for a technical hiker.

| Flex 4 | Best suited for hunts at or above timberline where the terrain gets steep. Flexible enough that it can handle miles of comfortable climbing but stiff enough to offer support and rigidity with a heavy pack. |
